    Default DTUK Green Box

    Hi there looking for some info.

    I had a DTUK green box on my Astra 150 mk5. (Astra now Sold)

    So was going to sell my box to someone i know. Connected the box up however the green light did not come on.

    Is the set up different between the Astra 150 and the Vectra 150. All the connections are the same, or where we doing something wrong.

    poss connected to the loom the wrong way round.

    I've already asked this question directly to DTUK, the guy who owns / runs the place told me the maps for the Astra and the Vectra are different.
    (Although the wiring harness may be the same)
    He may be bull****ting, but who knows ?
    If you need more detail you can contact him and ask him yourself by visitng the DTUK website.

    Would it matter that the astra has the 'sport' button? is this maybe the problem?

    don't some tuning boxes use the sport button to switch standard map to remap.

    When I asked the question, my logic was.............if you want to remap / alter or improve a cars performance it would be specific to that engine.

    I.E. you would be trying to gain / improve THAT engines output irrespective of what car it may be fitted to. (Astra / Vectra, etc)
    To me, although not being an engine remapper, I am a accomplised DIY mechanic, the car that the engine was actually fitted to would be of no consequence,
    (Other that weight difference, etc) I therefore would suspect that there may be a degree of bull**** going on, however as previously stated as I am by no means an engine remapper, I could be totally incorrect.
    Best thing would be for the original poster to contact Andy at DTUK directly and ask some detailed questions.

    just a thought try this, once it is attached turn on ignition start engine and rev the car above 3000 rpm, does the light now come on.
