    Default Bullet holes in windscreen.

I had a "bullet hole" stone chip in my windscreen. It was aquired on the M1 last year by an Alfa Romao, who,s rear windscreen had shattered and the debrise was flying every where. The idiot should have stopped his car on the hardshoulder and made it safe in my opinion. Well I bought a kit with all the "bits and pieces" resin "etc". I tried it out this morning. Well I am very impressed with it, considering the mark has been there for about twelve months (they say best to "mend it" as soon as possible so as to keep any contamination out of the glass).
It is not 100% but I recon 98% anyway. So I am very pleased with it.

you could have got it done for free at one of those drive places that are in superstore carparks.. any reason why you wanted to do it yourself?

I wanted to give "this kit" a try. I was more interested in the smaller stone chips that the "repair companies" you mentioned don,t bother with. But was supprised to how well "my kit" worked. I suppose I was a bit curious to how it worked.
Next trick will be to polish out the wiper scratch,s from my wifes car,s windscreen. When I get the chance.

Ive always fancied a play with those kits. How do yo polish wiper scratches out of glass ? This really annoys me !

I bought "some bits and pieces" to give it a try. Sorry if I am sounding a bit vague. But I want to try "my method" out on one of our cars first (in case I make a mess of it) I don,t want any one to mess theirs up till I have given my method the green light "so to speak".
If it all works ok I will put up a post with all the reqired info.

So do Frost Automotive in Rochdale...they do lots of car prep stuff. (also on the web and do mail order)

Polishing glass is similar to polishing your car's paintwork, but with different chemicals.

Bit like heavy-duty T-cutting but on glass.
