Default Change Discs - Change pads?!?!

Failed M.O.T yesterday on pitted front discs, its rebooked in to get sorted late in the week but they never mentioned changing pads etc...

I always thought its best to change pads especially if old discs are pitted/warped as they wont be flush... Or is it not that important...

you shouls always change the pads with the discs, as the old pads will be bedded into the old discs meaning any grooves in your old discs will be transferred onto your new discs when you brake if you use the old pads. plus for all pads cost these days is worth just changing them.

Thats what i thought and always have done - but they never said anything... Maybe this is there little earner and the going to say and that £60 theres for your pads!!

I'll be changing full set anyway to drilled and groovved, and have been getting tapping from a rear brake pad so hopefully a pad change will sort that too. save me messing about re-greasing everything.
