    Default Rear Shocking!

Hi, have a 2.2 dti 53 plate sri, has anybody else had their rear shocks changed already?
Only covered 45000 miles, took my car to Vaux to check why my car was bouncing around at bumby corners.

The bad news came that my rear shocks are seized, that would explain it.Bill for doing the work £225 for both fitted.

How much has anybody else paid and have you gone some where else for them to be fitted ?

Not given the go ahead yet.Phoned Kwik Fit £200. Not sure thou.

I would tell them to wish. Fit them yourself, they are not difficult

I've a 2.0DTi mate, mine needed doing ages ago (prob around 50k), but I can't afford it - I'm trying to sell the car, but if I can't, then I'll do them....I'm assuming you have the same problem on bumpy corners - the tail feels like its about to step out?

I'm gonna buy shocks from interweb and pay local garage £50 to fit 'em...should save a bit doing it that way.....

Not talking about rear shocks at the moment - I told Drinky that Vectaru felt a bit twitchy, but he told me I was driving too fast!!!!

Having driven her the other week, he has declared her 'unsafe to drive' and she is having new shocks fitted when my payrise comes next week. We worked it out to be only about £100 more to lower her into the bargain, so she is going to be dropped a little when we sort this out.

Nightmare though, really didn't expect this from a car only 2 years old!!!

I had done over 20,000 miles, they changed them both under warranty, after the usual arguments of course !!
