Default Should i get it removed

Well it looks like i will be getting my bonus from work at long last at the end of the month so depending on how much i get i'm planning a trip to MIJ. I have kinda decided what system i will be going for but while they are at it shall i get them to decat. My car is a 2004 GSi but i don't want to have to replace the cat every time the MOT is due.

    Any thoughts on this.

I found a thread that is a couple of years old that says the GSi has 2 pre cats and the main one. Apparently you can run with the pre cats only and will still pass the MOT on the emissions, just trying to clarify.

I had a Toyota Celica GT4, fitted a full stainless system and removed the cat and it still passed emissions test for MOT.

The gsi has three cats. Two pre cats and one main. Removing the main cat is ok due to the pre cats. Get it removed!
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
