What oil for 2.2 petrol

I did a search but couldn't find anything, so question is what grade oil for the 2.2 petrol ?

The very first service in the book says 10/40 but has not been filled in since, I looked in Halfrauds today as passing and in their books says 5/30 fully synthetic.

Which one is it???

10/40 deffo,mines on 87,000 and i have used 10/40 since 45,000 runs like a dream apart from high press fuel pump/fuel regulator/fuel rail sensor,but thats common faults on 2.2s haha

Ok cheers for the help, I have some 5/30 in the shed is it ok to use this as oil light has just come on and then on the next change put 10/40 in ?

the 10/40 is that fully synth or part synth ??

yes its ok to use that oil,vx will only charge you 39.95 for oil and filter change,at least they do in manchester

Only use VX oil filter Perry, the none VX ones can break down as there only a paper type element.
