A Signum really isn't a Signum without one, so it's only natural to want a Travel Assistant...
Snapping up a bargain from Maverick last week (as it won't fit his Insignia...) got me half way there, so all I needed was the fitting kit as seen in the How2 guide here.
A quick message to Danboy at LMF and the part was ordered and paid for on Wednesday, expecting delivery around the end of next week. This didn't suprise me, as I imagined it was quite an obscure part which would be ordered from Germany and need manufacturing etc...
Well stone me when it arrived this morning...
Several bits of it aren't used, namely the mounting screws that go on to the chassis as they're already fitted and welded as per the how2 guide. Apart from that, it's a simple straightforward job which you can only go wrong by over-cutting the carpet Robbie-style...
Not that I did that of course, that would be silly...
A couple of hours later and this is the result...
...and in full flight mode...
I appreciate it doesn't quite fit in with the surrounding colour scheme, but it'll do for now till I can afford a full retrim with CCS...
Cheers to Mav and Dan for the parts, and Brake Buster for the how2 guide which was infinitely more useful than the Vauxhall guide that came with the kit...
