Default Does this hack anyone else off?

There I was walking down the road pushing a pram and holding my other ones hand when I came across a blockage on the path, but not only one but another...parked opposite each other parked up on the path, two cars. So I ended up walking down the road only to get honked at.

I might be going mad but this seems to happen more and more now, anyone feel the same? My estate is getting syupid, it's not as if we don't have drives either.

Just thought I'd start a topic for views....

yeah it gets to me too, i think its space thing they dont want anyone else to park infront of their houses, so they stick their own cars there and leave their driveways empty, however I wouldnt do the same - i mean you have all alsorts walking and running past your car, only a matter of time b4 it ends up battered.

We get it a lot here, on junctions, opposite junctions, anywhere but park in their own drive. Barmy.

I used to park outside my house, then realised all the scratches were people who could not get past on the path so we shingled the front garden so we can now get 3 cars on the drive/shingled area...sorted....not quite I now get my neighbours park outside my house forcing people onto the road and got a mouthful off an irate father last year as he had to push the pram on the road. Needless to say I told him to shut up and go speak to the neighbours who,s sons car it was.

But I agree we have a van down our road who parks on the path and leaves about a foot of path, but recently the old bill were down my road handing out fines on the cars

its not just the parkers, obviously they are idiots and at fault. The driver who honked must be a complete moron, if you were holding him up he should have slowed right down and politely waited. If he had a tiny bit of intelligence he should have worked out why you were in the road.

Where space allows people should have to park off road - we have neighbors who have small drives and leave cars in the road every day. The gardens are big enough to have parking added - and as others have said - they never park outside their own house directly.

What often makes it doubly annoying is when they're parked outside taking up most of the pavement, but the house drive is empty. How lazy can you get?

I think on narrower roads where there is no off-road parking, people often get a couple of wheels up on the pavement in the hope of avoiding damage from other passing cars. (I'd have to admit to having done this myself) But as you say, I think you're more likely to get scratches from passing pedestrians with prams etc than you are from other cars.

yup it annoys the hell out of me, the same people who moan when their car gets damaged by someone getting past.
