    Default machine polishing

    right guys am a machine polishing virgin well untill tomorrow that is lol need some advice from you what polish/wax to use dont want anything thats abrasive(sorry for spellling) also got to be able to pick it up from halfords as i got to go there any way also any do's and dont's on using one would be great thanks in advance

    What pads have you got?

    You're not going to be able to get any decent polish for machining from Halfords, probably Super Resin Polish would be the best option.

    or maybe some megs pads are marked so always best to start with the less abrasive pad and try that first but tbh you need the right stuff.

    I would get some SRP and apply that with the polishing pad then buff off

    I find that the sonax pads are very good they are in different colours to indicate the grade/use ( ie polish or waxing).

    it was the silverline polisher that was for sale on here if that helps

    Hope there are lots of good practical replies to this post from members who have done this before. I've always fancied machine polishing but been s..t scared of doing so as I just dead the swirls of scratches I'd probably manage to produce.

    i no halfords is not te best place to get the stuff from lol but never got time to order any stuff so am guessing it will have to do for now lol
