sony ericsson Xperia X10

New upgrade time, anyone any comments or has this sony phone, or the new Nokia N900 ?

i work with o2 mate, the x10 is a fantastic phone, very simular to the iphone tbh, im getting that handset today as an upgrade to.
the software on the phone is very smooth and user friendly with a lot of features including hsdpa connection,wifi, gps etc.
google maps, bebo, facebook etc etc.
the camera on the phone is great in light shots but at night not so good due to it just being a constant light thru the led light.

the phone in terms of style is much like the htc hd2, and the charger again is much the same as the iphone using the usb connector.

you get 14days to decide if its for you, best thing you can do is go into a o2 guru shop where all the phones are working and you can have a paly with it.

I have the SE Satio, which I might add i'm posting from at the moment. If your use to SE phones then there just a step up, similer main menu which then expands into all the wifi and gps functions. The screens are less sensative than the iphone but my sausage fingers work alright with the qwerty layout. The only downside I have found is that the phone wont open some secure web sites like hotmail, but all Ive had to do is download Opera mini as an aplication and using that browser works fine. This only happens one one or two sites though, the main browser works well with the rest of the time.

I have it too and wondered why it wouldn't open hotmail!!!

My friend has the Nokia 5800 I think and the message set up and last numbers are all exactly the same on both phones, not sure about the rest of the menu though.

I love Sony's and both Matt and I have them for years, only once I think we've had the same one though.

Is it not the same as the Satio then? 12mp, it has the constant led light for clips but has a flash also for night pics?

I think there is a way of doing it so you get email push but i'd rather not have my phone bleeping every 2 minutes when I get a reply confirmation every time someone posts in a thread ive posted in LOL. Opera Mini's a free application and quite easy to use.

Will look into it tomorrow, I have no idea what half the stuff is on the phone so need to play with it really.

unfortunetly the flash or rather the light is either on or off via the options in the screen of camera.
it doesnt come on and go off after a foto which i think is completly stupid!

but so far im happy with it! its got alot of stuff to understand how to work on it so im sure it will take a while

i got the vivaz similar operating,smaller mp camera mines only 8.1....an think it got smaller memory but can`t fault SE phones,second only to nokias

I have the HTC HD2 and would strongly suggest checking it oot before making your decision if you like touchy screeny !
