Aircon problems

Hello

Put my aircon on earlier and its not gettin cold at all possibly even slightly warmer with it on. Can't remember the last time i used it the light comes on but nothin.
Is there a fan or somthing which should cut in when you switch it on because i can't hear anything?

Any help or suggestions would be great

Does your car have ECO mode? I have the Climate Control and when I bought the car it was in ECO mode which turns off the aircon to save fuel.

Can't remember the last time i used it

Needs to be used regularly (even through winter) to prevent the rubber seals from drying out and the refrigerant escaping.

Not generally, no. If you've got a Kwik Fit local to you, take it along and they'll hook it up to their automatic machine which will test for major leaks, and if none are found will replenish the refrigerant and oil to the correct quantity and charge you something like £30 (or less). If the find a leak they won't charge you a penny.

Another thought, as your car is an 07, is it under 3 yrs old, and done less than 60,000 miles?

If so, and the AC has a leak, then maybe the remainder of the manufacturers warranty will pay for the repairs.

As said it's good to use the air con for at least 15mins a month even in winter. Regas should sort it though

i have exactly the same issues.

the cheapest i could find near Glasgow for a re-gas was £50 at kwik-fit
