Anyone know who this is, and is it a good idea?

Hi All,

Yesterday I purchased 2 new tyres for the GSI, they where not expensive ones but will keep me legal until I have more money.

Today I saw this guy offering £225 part-ex towards these:

For the same price I paid for two tyres I could of part ex'd my scuffed GSI 17"'s and got 4 refurbed ones with better tyres.

Should I have done this? I might still do it... thoughts please. Thanks

Yeah maybe, but I guess he would then just refurb mine and put them on ebay... and so the process continues. He will make £150 or more a time. So I'm guessing its legit.... ?

Seems like a nice little earner he has going on, offered me £200 for my current wheels. Unfortunately I realised the tyres are the wrong size. Probably would still fit, had I have seen it before buying new tyres I would of done this. I'll have another look at the end of the year when I'm back needing new tyres again.

The tyres aren't the wrong size, they are alternative to the 215/50/R17's as they are roughly the same dimentions but a hell of a lot cheaper.

That guy has been selling VX wheels on ebay for ages. He always seems to shift them too.
