    Default Ever needed temporary insurance?

I have needed it now and again and instead of taking out a policy to drive a car for a week these guys have come through

    www.dayinsure.com

Used these loads ourselves. Underwritten by Norwich Union. Over 21 and from £10 a day. Drops the longer you have it.

    seen them advertising heavily....

print your own certificate too - is this good if buying from auction and you need a car taxed. Not sure if a post office would accept it tho.

States on their page 'dayinsure.com motor insurance certificates provide evidence of insurance in the format prescribed by Road Traffic Act legislation. However, DVLA and UK Post Offices will not accept electronically downloaded documents for road fund licence purposes.'

    Only if they can tell...

Our DVLA local office and the post office both accept certificates that the insurers have emailed to us and we've printed off. It's a legitimate use and they've never questioned it. I just taxed my new car and did a Cherished Transfer with a 7-day free insurance deal from the dealer I work for.
