I've just installed a Bury CC9068 with with AUX and a DAB box to open the input on CDC40. After some fiddling it worked and I could adjust the volume from the radio.
I took everything apart to route the wires in a ncie way, and now it doesn't work. I can only play music using the Bury's amp.

When I select DAB, the screen displays BBC Essex. I assume it's the last DBA channel that it received. I tried plugging my antenna in the DAB box and did a scan, but no Danish channels appeared (as expected, since DAB is shut down and now we're running DAB+). If I unplug the DAB box, I get DAB Box Error in the display.

    So now the question:
How's your car programmed, @Lao ? DAB present, I presume? Any thing else special?
What does your display say when DAB is selected?

Of course DAB should be set to Present, otherwise it wouldn't be enabled.

If I remember correctly it says "No station" when I switch to DAB. I think your DAB unit may be stuck. You can find some related posts about this on this forums. Sometimes DAB units get stuck like this and it may be a reset that could solve the issue. But I don't know exactly how you can do that.

Here's what I found with good old Google:

    Hi,

and what was your experience after all this time using this solution?

I want to switch from my CD70 to a CDC40. Im listening to web radio and spotify. Ive had an Android Headunit for 2 years but i switched from music of USB to web so i retrofitted AUX but i miss the Equalizer. The sound is not as good as the Android was.

Now i have on my table a working CDC40, a spare CID i had layin around and a DAB Module. Aux is working fine but i have one question: when i unplug my radio from power i got no sound at all after i turn it on. I need to program the Audio Index again (if a different one or the same - it doesnt matter). After that the Aux works fine.

Another thing i found: when you remove the Tuner from the DAB Box it wont show anymore "No Signal". I have a headunit from ebay UK so instead of No Signal the Radio shows me the last radio station there was played. In my case D1 National Capital XTRA. Ive edited the Station to "AUX In" in the EEPROM. Works finde but without Tuner it wont play anything. So now if you switch from CD or FM Radio tu DAB it will show AUX IN and then after a few seconds "No Signal".

Did you have this issue with the Audio Index like I had or is this a "on bench issue".

    Default DAB on Astra

    Hello all,

I have problem connecting DAB to my CDC40Opera in Astra H.
I am using Opcom, but when I go to Infotainment/Programming/Mid Bus Configuration, there is no DAB option for setting it to "Present".

    There are only:
    - EHU(Entertainment Head Unit),
    - DIS(Info Display TID,BID,GID,CID),
    - UHP(Mobile Phone Portal) and
    - ECC(Electronic Climate Control).

Do I need to have Tech2 to activate DAB or Astra does not support it?

    Best regards!

More than likely the CDC400 you have doesn’t support DAB! Afaik they either have DAB enabled or they were stripped back and features left out.

It is CDC 40 Opera in Astra H, not CDC400 in Astra J. My CDC40 is Blaupunkt, and on the sticker there is DAB L DAB R and DAB G which makes me think the unit supports DAB.

My situation is: Factory my Astra is fitted with 3 line GID + CD30MP3 Grundig. I bought this CDC40 Opera and install it, but wanted to make this AUX modification via DAB. So I bought DAB also but get stucked.

I used OpCom with no problems, but I can't remember in which categories I programmed it.
Have you selected the CDC40 first, and is the DAB module connected?

PS. I haven't tried to reset the stations yet, so I still get the "no signal" when switching to DAB, and thus no "Aux in" available :-(
