    Default why are scrap yards a rip of

    i have just rang a second hand dealer and they want £10 for the spring on my door handle W.T.F are they havin a laugh £10 for a spring maybe im being thick but that seems alot anyone know where i can get one..

    also got my heater fixed today (was only blowing hot air) will post pics for a how 2 if admin ok it(admin have we a how 2 with pics as i could not find one)

    Sometimes the price reflects the effort to get it removed... even a little thing like that could be a pain in bottom to remove (without damaging anything else that they could sell).

    Grass is always greener on the other side. They will have a lot of costs to run, insure, secure their site. Also remeber they have to pay for the cars as well. It takes a lot of selling bits to get your money back....

    You should be ok with the how to. It might be usefull to other members in the same situation.
    Have a word with john.robertson2 the section moderator. He will "put you in the picture".

    Think they usually work in round figures (and cash!). Don't think you'll get much for less than a tenner however insignificant the part is. (same would probably apply at Halfords, VX dealers etc - only difference is they'll accept your credit card). (Oh yeah, and Halfords would offer to fit it "free" for a few quid using some kid from behind the counter who's never fitted one before).

    there is not a how to for this yet, so yeah put one in just make sure the photos are hosted on this site not on another (like photobucket etc..). and me or john will approve it. (if we like it lol )

    Anything small enough to fit in a pocket never gets paid for by me now...

    I remember picking up an tweeter cover for the inside of the wing mirror for my corsa B, the guy looked at it and scratched his head and asked me where it goes. I showed him and he said "oh right it looks a **** without it" £15 please...
