    Default bloomin cheek

My car has been off the road now since last thursday.

Maf had gone which had thrown a few lights up on my dash, traction control/ ids/ service light and eml, so had the car booked in today to get it repaired under warranty.

So dropped the car off at 08.30, get a phone call at 15.30. "hello we have found the problem with your car......its...........the MAF (I TOLD THEM THIS WHEN I DROPPED THE CAR OFF).....The warranty will cover the new MAF......great .......but.......you owe £49 for the dianogstics check.

You what, yes sir you need to pay to cover the check to find out what was wrong. Oh no i dont when i dropped the car off this morning i told you what was wrong. We also found out that your brake fluid need changing we can do that for £45.

I then asked why my brake fluid needs changing as they had only just changed all my disc's and pads and ive not even covered 200 miles since.

Well it can just go but it needs changing, no thanks i reply im sure it will last another week, can i ask why you are checking my brake fluid as my car has come in for MAF replacement. Apparently when cars go in for warranty work they give them a health check( more like lets see what cash we can get out the owner) but mine haddnt even covered 200 miles since the last check.

Ok sir how will you be paying for the check......um i wont be as it because of a part failing the lights have come on so you can keep the car if im having to pay for ****** check under warranty.

vx call me back 15 mins later its ok sir we will waver the check fee and will get the MAF replaced, ok lovely what time will it be ready.

It will be ready tomorrow as we dont have the part in stock.....SHOCKER.

IM LOSING FAITH QUICKLY IN VX NOW.

Thats not how it works, you only pay an investigation charge if they cant find a fault or if its not covered under warranty. Thieving barstewards!

They did try but i wont give up lol, i would have left the car there quite happily. Think they knew that so just gave up, nearly died when they tried to get me to pay for the check, even more so as i told them last week it was a failed maf and they still didnt order 1 in

Losing faith in Vauxhall quickly mate? I lost faith in Vauxhall years ago... TBH though I think all dealers are pretty much the same (not to tar all dealers with the same brush) they are just after your money all the time and don't care how they get it sometimes the warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on because you have to take it back to THEM every time. Makes my blood boil

Aftersales is where they make the money, And your right. You only pay for the check if the part is NOT under warranty.

Im a leading chef in the Royal navy not a mechanic lol.

Let me know when u find the problem, car had diaonogstic check yesterday as you tried to charge me for that so it should have come up on that any faults.
