Hi, I have a 2006 Signum. Can i put HID bulbs in it or do i have to make any modifications
before i ask this question i will put on my asbestos jacket before i get flamed lol
how do you know what type of lights you have ?
i mean how do i know if i have this adaptive forward lighting system or bi-xenon or just standard halogen bulbs
dont be to hard on me lol
If you have factory fit HID/Xenon lighting you'll also have headlamp washers. When you turn the lights on the seem to immediately pulse bright then go dim and quickly return to bright white as the warm up. You should also notice a bunch of warning stickers about the high voltage lights.
If you think you have AFL (Adaptive Forward Lighting) try moving the steering from lock to lock one evening with the lights on and see if the light pattern moves too.
If you don't have headlamp washers and the beam pattern seems to be static, just take the rubber cover off the rear of one of the headlamps and have a look at the lamp itself. If you take a lamp out (avoid touching the glass) look on the metal base - H7 is a normal Halogen incandescent lamp, X7 is a Xenon filled incandescent lamp.
Should give you a better idea.
