    Angry Fuel Pump or Reg

    Well I should of known it was in the post at some point last night driving home Spanner came on the dash loss of power manage to limp in to a layby to see what the problem was.

    I took the keys out of the car then tryed to start it a minute later the revs were fine then once the revs dropped that was it limp mode again I managed to limp home from near the m56 to middlewich going very slow.

    Im just wondering If its the Regulator as when you first start the car it revs fine then a couple of seconds later spanner comes on Idle rough as **** and its in limp home mode?

    Its booked in today for the recall on the Reg so fingers crossed if that does not work I have a spare fuel pump here that I bought 2 years ago just incase however its second hand and still may not work.

    Oh yes one other thing when the idle start sounding rough it sounds as if its missfiring too any help appriciated what a ****

    Just been out to it again when you try and rev the engine it looks like its miss firing would the fuel pump or reg cause this?

    Regulator fitted and no more limp home mode now getting a miss fire thinking its the coil pack!

    Gutted mate, fingers crossed its the coil pack. Did they not tell you the code's when they hooked it up to the Tech 2?

    I know mate Its just strange that both the reg and the coilpack both went at the same time but they did not tell me about any codes

    I always thought that was the procedure, plug it in read /reset and codes then carry out the work needed?

    When i had my recall work done they didnt hook it up to anything, just opened the bonnet and changed the regulator and drove it out.

    Its bad mate anyone selling a Coil pack.

    Rushy Is there any Performance coil packs just for the sake of buying insted of the standard one
