    Default induction kit on z20net

    just fitted an induction kit to my 2.0 turbo and it sounds totaly great !! you can hear the turbo whistle and there is alot of wastegate chatter, but are they ok on the z20net engines or are you better of with an airbox let me here your thoughts please

    Your gonna get slaughtered bud........lol


    IMO air box all the way..... Z20NET's HATE open cone filters......

    Ecotecs hate hot air and thats what your sucking in with an open filter. The Old C20LET's didnt mind the heat but its a no no for the Ecotecs.

    what if it's got a good cold air feed to it will it not be ok then ? i must admit i do preffer the airbox but just wanted to try something a bit diffrent not had an induction kit since i was 18 and now im 29 just wanted to hear that induction roar but all i can here is wastegate chatter lol

    Ive got a closed kit on mine and love it

    Not had any problems yet

    You still get the noise with a closed kit like Cotton Green Twister, Piper Viper or K&N Apollo, but you still get the cold air feed, best of both worlds.

    You can buy a universal closed induction kit off eBay for your car, it'll be the cheapest option for a closed kit, as the off the shelf ones (like Vipers, Simota etc) can be expensive at £150+.

    I had a look at those when you previously mentioned them but I couldn't find the one for a NET engine.
