Default installing a power-outlet/cig lighter rear passengers

    Hi guys,

i have some questions about installing a power outlet/cig lighter in the mid-console for the passengers in the rear. I have a portable dvd player for my little girl, only the power cord is just too short when i use the cig lighter in front of the dash.

    - is the car standard fitted with prefab power supply for the cig lighter in the rear?

    - in case the wiring is prefabed could someone give me the partnumbers of the parts i have to use to fit in a standard opel vauxall cig lighter.

    thanks

    greetings from holland

no, i don't have a cig lighter for the passengers in the rear. I do have a power supply in de back of the car (station). But then again the power cord is too short.

At this moment there's only fitted a ashtray in the mid console..

    thanks for the answer

ok, i'll take a look today. But my center controle is very standard, not like the last picture. I only have a ashtray, but no air blower outlets.

i've thought of that option, the local carshop do have them, but i'm not very font of loose wiring in the car. But in the end, it's the only option left i guess.

Hi Tinus71, I had the same problem, mine didnt even have an armrest, and in the back i only had ashtray, not air vents etc, when i upgraded to the armrest i took out the centre console and the wiring for the rear cig lighter was taped to the bottom of the handbrake, i think it was brown wires with a plug on the end...

    hope that helps!
