Question EGR / Inlet Quiery...... 2.2 DTi.

    Evening All.

Ive spent a good hour going through loads of old threads regarding EGR / Inlet issues. So forgive me if the answer to my question is staring me in the face!

Right... The car 2003 2.2 DTi. NO EML lights etc

At weekend i decided to give my boost sensor / EGR valve a good clean out. No problems as such but i decided a good clean wouldnt hurt. So after giving them both a good clean as they were covered in sooty oily stuff, all went back together fine, but then a nigly issue.

Its become rubbish at starting where as before i decided to clean them it was fine! Should of B1leeding left it alone! Ive been through a few threads were it was mentioned that some of the gunge may have fallen into the inlet, Can anyone shed any light on this? On or any other answers to my now poor starting issues?

Its worth adding, The poor starting only appears to be after its been stood, or in the morning etc, once fired up its as it used to be.
    Cheers Mark.

Could be unrelated mate, leak off pipes are worth replacing if they've not been done

Right ive had a good look round, went over everything id taken off at the weekend etc, checked the t-bar leak off pipes, & all vacuum pipes etc. All seem fine, no leaks splits etc etc.

however when i took the intercooler pipe off, i noticed the below in the pictures. Its seems to be part of the vacuum system, and it lugs have snapped of the holder, so its not doing anything, which im 99% wont be helping, Ive NO idea what this part is called, all i know is there is two of them, one just under the egr, and the other the broken one underneath the intercooler pipe.

I hope my pictures do the talking, So im looking for info to see if this is likely to be causing the problems, and also where to get hold of a new one, part numbers & prices would be excellent!

    Thanks Mark.
