Not ideal, but the price of the job seems to be getting lower the more people have them replaced, so it might not be as bad a first seems (the £1 fix could be worth a go, even though its hit and miss whether it works or not).

im goin to get some nylon machined at work and glue them on

sounds stupid but the cheap superglue is best mine was 50p for two tubes and it will stick the bonnet shut if ya not careful very strong stuff

thanks for the comments people , I done the airbox mod and put in a k&n pannel filter and some wind deflectors today thats all im doing
