    Default Cdr2005 vdo

In my vectra (52plate) I had a run in with a pot hole which dislodged the centre console on one side. At the same time the power went off to the CDR2005 but I could still use the radio/cd player through the steering wheel controls, which I found strange? But none of the buttons on the unit are responsive? To repair the centre console I have to remove the cd player. It seems the plastic weld had seperated from the frame, a couple of well placed brackets later and we're all back together. I refitted the cd player, its in 'safe' mode but I can't put the code in because the buttons dont work. All the fuses are fine.

    Please help!!!

Is the front pushed on properly as this can come off, people have removed it and not pushed it back properly, this would make the headunit work..but the buttons/lights on the facia stop working. Failing that, I don't know mate, might have knackerd it. Just give the front a good push to make sure it's connected properly onto the headunit itself. Btw, must've been one hell of a pot hole

Only about 20 screws....lol. I have taken a few of these apart in my time , very easy to not get the DIL plug sitting back far enough. Whilst the unit is apart make sure the pins sticking out from the headunit are perfectly horizontal and not sitting at an angle , this is a good check to carry out.

I have one up for grabs mate. The only thing with it is sometimes it makes an annoying clicking noise when turned on or off. Doesn't do it all the time. If you're handy with a screwdriver, I'm sure you can replace the cd mechanism inside, or use it as it is, came out of my '03 LS as I upgraded to the ccr2006. Has the code etc and in good nick £35.00 delivered to you. PM me if you're interested pal
