Am I the only one here who thinks all this fake carbon fibre vinyl wrapping in the interior of cars looks awful? I'm beginning to wonder if I've gone insane as everyone else seems to love it so much, but no matter how much I look at bits that people have done, I can't for the life of me see what the fascination is.

Don't get me wrong, everyone's car is their own business and everyone has their own tastes, after all if we all thought the same it would be a very boring world indeed but I just don't get it.

You've got a grey plastic interior and you slap one piece of fake carbon fibre slap bang in the middle of it. The colour doesn't match the plastic or the fabric of the trim so it stands out like a sore thumb in a plasticky, fake, chequered vinyl pretending to be carbon sort of way.

Is it just me?

Although I will own up to quite liking the Irmscher carbon exterior pillar kits, no way would I pay what they cost for them though.
