Default Insignia low fuel pressure - common problem

    Hi,

The title says it all and this post is linked, in a way, to my other post.

My Insignia wouldn't start after being driven ok for a few miles. After turning on the ignition when restarting the car (after a few mins of sitting still) the car turns but doesn't start. It just judders.....

The AA measured the fuel pressue which was 1.4 bar, whatever that means. Is this the problem, does it sound right?

If you were to leave the car sitting for a while, it will eventually start again, but I have had it recovered to the dealer as I had it literally hours with this happening twice.

Pressure in the CDTi common rail is something stupidly high, in the hp rail its about 1600bar upwards!

And that is why it wouldn't fire up?

not had any experience of the insignia to be fair, so couldnt tell you. Also it depends where he was measuring the fuel pressure...
