Well if you angle it right, then surely you can just angle it to the direction of the door so it won't go off when you're walking round. Will see if I can find one that breaks the beam..

I've used these before. One is an infrared light, the other is a receiver. When the beam is broken you can have a chime / constant chime / alarm sound. Battery operated, volume control etc, and you can have it either side of the door so only anyone who walks in this way will operate it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Beam-Barrier-A...item4a9fd5e60c

that sounds like the thing im after as it will cover both doors that are on the same wall.

what would be your choice out of the 2 ?

the second 1 i think will be more relible if i get the 6v adaptor

Yes I think the second one for what you're after. You can use both units with an adaptor, and you can place them quite a distance apart (has a high/low button on the IR unit depending on the distance) Like I said, I have got 2 sets of these, and they have proved to be very reliable and exactly what you would want from them. I'd go for them

In fact, if would would like a pair of mine, I'll do them for £15.00 incl. postage. PM me if you're interested, they're exactly the same as in the listing, but I only need one set and have a set spare.
