intermittant smoking
Hi any help appreicated.
Few weeks ago car started smoking on acceleration blue smoke then 10 mins later was fine then been fine for last 300 miles then other week started smoking on acceleration again for maybe 15 miles then stopped and been okay again when it did smoke it was bad.Any ideas?thanks
Depends which engine it is, but Vauxhall valve stem oil seals have always been pretty ropey. That would be my guess, if it was piston rings, it would be more consistent.

its 150 cdti with it being so intermittant might not happen for weeks then when it does only for a few miles, wondered if egr or something stickin open or closed may cause it.
If it's blue smoke then it's oil burning which wouldn't be the EGR.
