    confused Cd player trouble (fitting)

    Hello every one ,, new on here. We brought a 2003 vectra and in it was a cheep unknown stereo. I have since brought a gunuine vauxhall cd player a cd30. however the vauxhall leads and fittings do not fit the back of the stereo. Please help

    think it should plug straight to the car........if they`ve left leads connected un plug em and the stereo should plug into where the leads come out of the back of the dash.........if a cd 30 fits a half can car.........not sure

    sorry to tell you this but the cd30 will not work in a half canbus veccy without a lot of work.
    you need to buy a cdr2005,ccr2006 they will work.

    canbus is the way the car talks to other componets in the car.
    easy way to know is if you have buttons on the stearing wheel half canbus
    if you have scroll wheels on the steering wheel full canbus.
    upto 2004.5 half canbus after full canbus
    half canbus radios are a four digit code
    full canbus radios are programed to the cars security devices

    you can also have the ncdc range which are satnav

    I'd whack it on ebay and try and look for the older type that would work in your motor.

    Or, i'd buy one with bluetooth/mp3/aux from Halfords and the facia adapter and whack that in
