Default got the car jacked up

ok so got the car jacked up as i changed my oil today and i had a look at the suspension area as i was having the following.

crunchy wierd noise when stationary or low speeds and turning the steering.
noise when goin over some bumps the the suspension is raised some and dropped again (hills n things).

so with the wheel of the ground i turned the wheel left and right and felt something thru the spring like a vibration or something so i think thats the bearing or something?
and also wobbled the wheel left and right and thier is a wee bit of play.
    what does that mean?
im looking at ordering the bits so i can get it all done asap.

any one got any suggestions? or best/cheapest place for the parts?
    thanks lads

If you have a pre-face veccy, it's common for the anti roll bar drop links / bushes to need replacing, these can cause the sound you're describing. Someone on here may give you more idea though as I'm not really clued up on the 'mechanic' side of things!

Wobblng the steering "play" might be wear in the track rod ends. I belive the inner ones ( tie rod ) can show a bit of "play".

Yep, I think you're right with that.

If the vibration is coming through the spring, it's got to be the top mount I would have thought. Unless it is just the spring twisting in the cup ...
