    Default Over filled coolant

    Will this cause problems, just had car in for inlet manifold replacement and the garage has overfilled coolant by about an inch or 2, should i drain this, will be doing a 200 mile round trip saturday dont want it to cause problems.

    I would drain it, only because the car will possibly throw it out if you don't

    take it there is a drain plug bottom left at the front like astra cdti.

    will try to get one tommorrow, since the garage just filled the coolant and the garage is less than 10 miles from home do you think do you think it is over because it hasn't fully bled.

    It needs a run ( can be done on the driveway) until the thermostat opens and the temperature is normal and stable once this happens the level will drop slightly if there is air in the system, if it stays high WAIT until it cools down and then remove some of the coolant but an inch in the expansion tank isn't all that

    Oh is it definatly too high? The mark on the tank is the "cold" level. It will rise a bit when hot. Check it again when the car is cold
