    Default A really bad day

While I have another 3 weeks to go on the MOT, I had it done early as I need it for work pretty much all of the next 3 weeks. While I didn't necessarily expect it to sail through now it's nearly 7 years old and close to 95K miles, I didin't expect this

Just about all the exhaust hangers have corroded through. It's only held up by the back boxes. Failed on that. Front brakes imballanced (tester reckons disks are shot). Both rear springs fractured.

Exhaust is the worst though - needs a complete new system including the cat due to the corrosion. I've been quoted over £500 just for the cat, let alone the rest of the system.

Add in new front disks and pad and new rear springs and how much! !

On top of that, the rear bank rocker cover is leaking oil (gasket gone or cover warped I guess) and it's due a service. Cam belt probably due next service if not this (last done around 70K).

Looking at its likely value I'm really wondering if it's worth repairing . It may well be a matter of seeing how much discount I can get off something else as a p/x in its current state with faults declared. Can't see much demand for a knackered 3.2 Auto though .
