Talking egr blanking results good or bad

looking to blank the 150 egr, have just had egr and inlet replaced and do not wish to go there again!

I was looking to semi blank the inlet side ie oval sid only, dont really see the sense in the square side, if crap cant get in the egr it wont go into the manifold, right??

those who have done it, what were your results? if you had the MIL light afterwards, did you take it back out and did that clear the MIL?
My car is ruuning really well, no flat spots this is just to prevent any further problems.

going to make the gasket my self, cheers BIG SIG, what size holes are in the oval one? and the square one just in case i have to make that one as well?

Do i need to do both sides?

For the sake of about £6 buy the two Fiat ones and fit them - dependant on your ECU software you may get EML but from this site, most don't (I didn't).

I fitted the fiat square one (£4) after having a new manifold and have GOOD results! I believe the oval one is £10, I would not fit this because i think it will stem the flow further back in the pipe causing coking /caking up in the pipe, id rather have it collect within the egr and clean it now and then, its a SIMPLE job and at least you know where the crap is. I have plenty of low down power and turbo lag has been virtually eradicated.

    The oval one is £2.04

I have removed my EGR a couple of time since fitting these gaskets and there is no build up whatsoever behind any of the gaskets.

Are you on about the fiat oval one for semi blanking ? most reported this price at £10 from fiat. so if its causing no build up and is only £2 it may be worth doing both, but fiat lads i believe are only doing one or the other 120/150.

Yes, the one in the link above (thats my picture when I bought it) - I have both (the square and oval) and it runs well and so far no physical build up at all.

Think as i see the original was £10 and looked like this. But the updated one is £2.04 and is like the pic in the link!, so i will phone now although im completley happy but worth getting one for that price.

    Default

I have the square one fitted with positive results & I will fit the other one soon, if I can further reduce flow through the EGR without causing any faults to occur I will be happy

edit: hasn't the latest one got just one 10mm hole?
