As a standard hands free that uses contact pics etc, it's brill. Installing pretty simple too... Just split the big block ISO connector on the radio so you can separate the speaker plugs from the power, stick the main unit behind the glove box, simples...

mmm as for cig lighter,thats a nogo on the insig,as a tech told me the car is always checking itself,and when it realises no cig lighter is calling it switches off the power to the plug

hmmm not sure then mate sure vx will give ya an idea where to get a live feed from? ya dont want a permanent live thats all.

seriously...?? mine pulses the live feed in position 1, the parrot display comes on then says 'goodbye' goes off and comes on again... steady live with engine on though...

so if you had something else plugged in to the cigarette lighter, how would that work? and why would vx go to the trouble...?

(incidentally - when i bought the vec, the dealer told me, "never plug anything into the cigarette lighter. it's only a thin ribbon cable, and will melt" What - like a cigarette lighter then? -Fools....!)
