    Default Zymol'd Civic Jordan

    Hi guys,

I bought some Zymol last week and had a go with it yesterday, used the HD Cleanse before applying Zymol Concourse to my son's newly aquired Honda Civic Jordan, the whole process lasted about 5.5hours.....here's some pics: -

    And finally

It was a bit overcast but that's the weather for you eh

And that's about it.......the only thing with Zymol is that you have to wait 3 hours after you applied it before giving it a final buff up.........which did make a dif

I have to admit that Zymol is the best of the bunch.

I very nearly bought one of those Civic's a few years ago, it had the Jordan "Hornet" embroidered into the leather seat backs IIRC.
    Looks superb there Bryan

The seats are perfect just need a light clean and an application of Gliptone Conditioner which has been ordered so that's the next job

Thanks for that John ..........you have to remember that this car was machined polished prior to applying Zymol HD Cleanse and then Zymol Concourse wax (£140 per jar )...........I'll post some pics of my car after it's had the Zymol Destiny Wax applied (£450 per jar .....that should do it eh )

That looks good in the pics but whats your thoughts on it.
I've never tried Zymol but reading the thoughts on DW, people seem to swing both ways on it.
Did the HD Cleanse work any better than other paint cleaners on the detailing market ?
How does the paint feel with the Concourse wax on it ?

Do you feel its worth all that extra ?

Sorry for all the questions, i feel like a kid at school....................Miss !!

No problem Scott ask away.......that's what the forum is for eh

The HD Cleanse worked well and there was an appreciable dif in the depth of colour when buffed off, so I'd say it definately worked better than most other cleansers I have tried, and it's easy on easy off, just don't apply it in direct sunlight.......when I did the back of the car which had the sun on it and although it didn't feel warm it was much more difficult to take off.

The paint feels VERY silky smooth........better than most I'd say.

Is it worth the extra cost.........mmmmm..........well I would say only if it was something you were going to offer to clients (as I will be) then it would become viable for both the client and the detailer, otherwise probably not.

To get the very best finish out of Zymol it's an absolute must that you wait the 3hours (as directed) after applying the wax before doing the final buff up as this did bring the paint up even more and given the finish was already superb that's saying something.

On the maintenance side for a daily driver, the car will be treated to the Zymol Field Glaze after every other wash, the finish should last many months.

The packs that Johnny was offering are sensational value.........so I bought 2

One other thing the pictures were taken when it was overcast and are a LONG way short of showing the finish at it's best......it's a pity the car isn't here now cause the sun is spliting the pavement eh

    Hope that helps

    Bryan

PS at first it's a very strange feeling applying wax by hand but you soon get the hang of it and if it was more cost effective I'd use it all the time........very relaxing...........therapy eh
