so this tech 2 what exactly is it?
and so id need a different engine loom n the right ecu to deal with the engine loom and the rest of the car`is that right
the car's has a canbus network and GM in their infinite wisdom decided to make sure that all the modules are coded to the car... meaning if you remove one thing you need to code it to the car you have... but it needs to be unmarried from the other car first.... especially if you don't take it all in one go... this means you need a complete car if you do an engine swap and you'll need to swap every fusebox, and module over... this is so much work it is best to just buy the car with the engine you want.

still a cool discussion topic tho... I've pulled all the wiring, removed all the BCM's, cut all the looms, and starting fresh. Removed glass, and regulators, power windows, locks, etc. You will need an aftermarket wiring loom... painless wire harnesses in America offer a Street/strip harness with your necessities headlights, turn, brake, accessory, etc you will also need a stand alone programmable ECU like the haltech elite or AEM
