    Default Blowing flexy

    Hi any ideas how? who? or where i can get the front Y pipe/flexy pipe repaired on my 3.2 v6. The garage says its the flexy part thats gone and a new pipe from the stealers is gonna cost 470 + vat....

    Forget that lol, new flexipipe on ebay about £40, and get someone to cut out your old one and weld in a new one.. Not sure on the size of the flexi on the petrols... someone else with a petrol will be along shortly i'm sure..

    well that was one suggestion the workshop came up with. Was just wondering if anyone had done it?

    Yep me... Had a blowing flexi... bought a new one, then got a mate to weld it in for me

    I had a de-cat and new Flexy by MIJ in Walsall, IIRC was about £100 all in .

    So yes, VX stealer is, as usual, talking complete twaddle.

    My front flexi went aswell a new front section is £470. Go to an exhaust shop and they will cut it out and weld a new one in. I got it done a week or 2 back for £65.

    A dealer wont do a job like that for you they will only fit a new section.

    You can get a full system incl a flexi at MIJ for a touch over £400, had mine done around 2 weeks ago and love it!!!
