    Default Carbon Fibre Wrap

    Hi Guys!

Thought I would share a picture of my steering wheel that I wrapped at the weekend...

Loving this vinyl stuff, but its so hard to resist the urge to overkill and wrap everything in sight!!!

Thanks bigmac! I was a bit worried when I ordered this stuff as I didnt want the glossy printed stuff, I wanted the textured stuff that can be warmed up with heat gun to go around corners - and that is what turned up, not a bad mod for £7.50 ;-)

    Looks mate.

Im looking to wrap my interior door handles in something similar.

Where did you buy it from and what process did you use to fit it?

I know from previous attempts with vinyl that its easier if its heeted a little with a hair-dryer.

fitting was a doddle, took the inserts off of the steering wheel, then took the buttons out of the inserts (2 torx screws on each one) cut roughly the right size with scalpel, peeled off the backing paper and gently smoothed it out from the middle outwards with my thumb, when i got to the curved parts i just applied a little heat, then carried on with my thumb - hey presto, no creases or bubbles!

yes, i sent them a picture in yesterday as you can send in your own pictures, my ignition surround was a bit scratched up and I wanted to see how it handled the curves, only had enough to do the dash trim above my light switch as I only bought an a4 sheet, i think i would need the 30x1metre to do the other side of the trim and didn't want to buy that until i knew it was good stuff - will be buying it after pay day though!

bigmac, i will put it in the post tomorrow for you as i have left it at home
