Default Strange clicky clunky noise when pressing brakes

I've started getting this wierd clicky clunky noise when pressing the brake pedal.

The sound appears to be coming from the rear end.

I'm thinking the noise could be the brake pads gripping the discs and moving slightly in the calipers?

Has anyone else had this problem?

I swapped all discs and pads about two weeks ago and swapped the arb bushes, droplinks and rear upper arms last week.

Did you put any "anti rattle" plates back in as well as the pads.I have known pads to be loose in the caliper before though. Also did you put "copper grease" on the back of the pads.

The rear pads have the clips that hold the inner pad to the piston. They were fitted correctly using this. I didn't have any anti rattle plates.
Theres plenty of copper grease on the back of both pads in each caliper.

As they are not VX then that might be why you are getting the rattle. As they might not be made to the same exacting standards.

I guess so. Its strange as it didn't do it straight after they were fitted. I replaced the rear discs and pads on the Mrs' Vectra and I'm sure the pads are the same. It doesn't seem to do it in hers.

I'll just have to live with it for now.

    Thanks chaps.
