    Default Paint code!

    Hi Guys,

How do I find my paint code and what does it look like? I know the car is moonland but I need the correct code for the guys at halfrauds to mix me up a couple of spray cans.

I have to repair some icy-road-sliding-into-a-van damage before I chaufeur one of my best mates' fiancee to their wedding in less than 3 weeks time! eep!

    Thanks!
    Ben

On the VIN plate on the drivers side B post at the bottom. http://www.paints4u.com/pdffiles/vauxhall_opel.jpg

Don't bother with Halfords paint. IMHO, it's not very good. Just pop along to your local VX dealer and buy from there instead.

According to http://www.paints4u.com/AutoColours.aspx?ProductID=5020 Vx's paint colour code for Moonland is 54L

The B post is the part that your rear door is connected to by hinges.

The A post is what your front doors are connected to by hinges.

If you look at the earlier link I posted, it shows you where the VIN plate is located.

Funny, I recently had a similar experience at Halfords. I needed some touch up paint for my wife's bumper, they told me on the phone to bring the registration and VIN number, then when I got there the lad on the counter plainly didn't want to know.
The card on the paint counter was more help, and gave a paint code, but he refused to look at anything, just kept saying his computer has 40,000 paint codes and he needs the full code read off the vehicle. Think in view of what's been said here I'll find somewhere else local that mixes paint!

It might look like it, but it's actually pointing to the offside door pillar.

    Try this one instead.
