    Default Four piston cylinder calipers

I've recently bought new discs and pads, but need to get better calipers. Does anyone know where I could get four piston cylinder calipers?
OR a set of vectra VXR calipers?

Really depends how much ya wanna spend, VXR calipers carriers discs and pads are about 7-800 new rising to about 2k for a descent AP racing setup

that's something i want to avoid, a full brake kit upgrade. I can't justify spending at least £900 on a new system. Do you know if the astra VXR calipers will fit on my vectra 1.9 cdti sri 56 plate?

Nope, your only choice for a reasonable price is either the 302mm upgrade from the 2.0 Turbo or the 314mm kit from the V6 non-VXR models. Both need new calipers etc, so your only other option is to look at uprated discs and pads...

i might have to send the other ones back then. they are the same size as the standard ones fitted, but grooved and drilled. I think i might try and find some calipers first, then should be even easier to find discs to fit the calipers, not the other way around lol.

    cheers guys

The standard discs and pads from VX are available as kits and are cheap as cheaps to be honest - it's finding the calipers that's the problem...

Saab 9-3's have exactly the same kit...:whiustle:

If you're going for bigger discs I can highly recommend the 314's - it's a great upgrade, not too expensive & improves the anchors no end

So, if i get bigger disc brakes, is it common sense that i would need bigger calipers? A mate of mine said don't worry about the rear calipers as they only have a certain percentage of stopping power. Is it worth changing the rear ones as well?

No, Even the VXR's only have 292's on the rear although vented. When you brake hard the inertia force's the weight forward so bigger fronts would be fine.

Depends on the car really. I like big brakes personally, The 285's on most Vec c's are decent enough but bigger disc/pad combo will equal better cooling and more stopping power.

My KTM has twin 320mm Brembo discs mated to Brembo radial 4 pots and that thing will stop so quickly, your spleen will try to leave your body... lol good fun though.

But basically, If your getting larger discs, you need larger calipers on the vec.
