Default flip key fob on older vec?

evening fellas, gonna have to replce my key fobs soon cos they're fallin to bits, and was wondering if it's possible to put the chip from standard 3 button vec key fob, and put it in flip key fob, and then re-sync? would be nice to have a flip key fob again!

They dont have removable chips anymore and they are part of the remote, you can only buy the new style keys now, go on ebay and buy a repair kit, i did when my dog ate my old omega one..
