    confused Advice from vauxhall technicians needed

    just been to vauxhall regarding yet more egr valve problems . i asked if the new ones had been modded in any way , they told me they change some setting in the cars ecu to prevent any further problems . WILL THIS WORK OR ARE VAUXHALL TAKING A WILD STAB IN THE DARK . would like to here from any tecs who proberbley come across this problem every week at work , have they had any faulty egr valves come back after this mod???????????

    was told by dealer that there was a modification....hope it's true!

    i heard that so i asked they said the egr valve is the same they just change settings in ecu ?????

    i work on them everyday and never heard anything like that they are bringing a software update for z19dt 120 but nothing for the 150 there is nothing you can change in ecu

    There are two different part numbers for the old EGR's and new ones, from what I can see (when I removed my old one for the newer one a while ago) the plunger doesn't stick out as much on the newer ones (so it doesn't open as much) - not sure if my old one was knacked but they are physically different.

    you right dan the valves have been modified but the update they have released is for the valve to do a self test if you no what i mean to stop it from sticking.
