    Engine : 2.0 cdti/1.6 Turbo

Default I've lost power some where!

Had the car at PDtuning for the r/r day today and it managed to get a whole 142BHP. Not bad for a 2.2dti but the fact that it had 155bhp in december (albeit at a different r/r) means something must be wrong.

A viable reason that came to my mind was....I removed the tuning box before I went to Newcastle so as to keep my fuel economy pocket friendly and I then fitted it 10-15mins before it went on the rollers.

The box is a steinbauer tuning box which has three wires (perm +/- and one to the diesel pump)

Is it possible that the tuning box stores the pulses its getting from the diesel pump so as to optimise the signals it puts back into the pump and with me removing the box it's lost its memory?

I left the box on for the journey home and the car seemed to be getting more and more powerful with use.

    What do you guys think?

It's been mentioned numerous times not to remove the box before a r/r session. It didn't have time to relearn the box settings.

You should look out for one mate, they are absolutly amazing.

Kinda taking the r/r with a pinch of salt, may go back to somewhere else though just to see if my power is back lol

Another reason that I think it uses battery power to store things is that the box has a fourth wire that when connected to earth shuts the box off but obviously it still has the +/- of the battery connected.

When I first got it I thought I could maybe just fit a switch onto the positive wire from the battery, but every time I switch it off the box would lose its memory thus the reason for the fouth wire

    Does that make sense?
