    Default rip off dealers

the flexi pipe on the down pipe broke on my 1.8 2006 sri phoned round could not get none gen anywhere so phoned dealers £230 would do it for 180 as i in the trade . even the parts man said **** me thats not cheep .
quick call to powerflow in stafford got me straight in cut old flexi out and nice new one welded in place all done for £50 in 25 mins .

shame on you dealers there nothing to the down pipe would not like thing how much part+ fitting would have been .

can i just say if it was the gen vauxhall one then the dealers DO NOT set the price mate.

it might have been cheeper but what if it brakes again in 2 weeks do you get a 1 year warrenty with the repair????????

i think you are being harsh on yer dealer bud. go online and price one exatcly the same as what yer dealer priced you for and i bet you cant find it any less 180 for new front pipe is not bad

Sounds a good fix to me matey, did the job & cheap too
I would have a look at possible causes for the original failure though...excessive engine rock etc.
    Cheers

The front flexi went on my gsi which requires the front exhaust section (cat & silencer) i got quoted £470!

Took it to simons and he cut it out and welded a new one in for £65

Supposedly on some subarus the front exhaust section costs near on a grand
