Should I have a trailer light....

....or not?

I have just installed a westfalia tow bar with single electrics and the trailer module. When I have connected trailer/ caravan all the lights work fine but I have no driver indication that there is a trailer/ caravan connected. I was under the impression that its a legal requirement to either have a light on the dash or warning buzzer when indicating.

Please can you tell me what you think......

probaly because it needs tech2 in.

what does this light look like and where on the dash is it then, I cant find anything in the car manual about it at all.

HI
Tech2 is a software program that talk to the cars computers and it can turn programs on/off, fault reading and general programing
you will need some-one with the software like you local vx dealers or if any-one on here has one in your area.
vx will charge you around £50-£70

The indicator is self that you are turning with somthing on the hitch... is actually a "small" tobar indicating, in the lower right hand of the dash.

Only the plug in wiring kit can have the dash light

then the OP needs tech2 in the IPC (is done in the REC otherwise it wouldnt work) and in the GID/CID

Im in stockton...

...from what I can gather I just need the tech 2 ing so I can have the dash light, seems a bit excessive as it will be, what about £40 for someone to plug a communicator in. I think I will just leave it as it is and hope I dont get pulled by a very switched on plod.
