    Default This is interesting.

I was at a customers late this afternoon, they do alot of car testing for various bodies and are pretty well known.

I was shown around some of the test facility and looked around their rolling road facility. I asked if they could put my Insignia on the rolling road.

Fortunately the unit Manager agreed as it was Friday afternoon so it was strapped on, this was a new single roller type. I know RR's are a guide but I had a lot of confidence based on where I was.

So they put the car in manual mode and ran it up and I was pretty gob smacked by the end result.

    171.4bhp and 286lb/ft!!

I have heard from contacts in Germany that the Insignia 2.0 CDTi 160 is producing more than the quoted figures and thats one of the reasons why the 190PS/295/lb/ft twin turbo was sent back to the development as it didn't feel that much different to the '160'.

I could well beleive that now! So very happy with that. Now I know why it felt about as quick as my re-mapped Signum 1.9 150!

The quoted figures for the few re-maps available are around 200/210bhp and 310/330lb/ft.

It's a shame I never got the car on the rollers before I had the exhaust done, I am still wondering if the exhaust modification has made a little difference, it does feel better.

The guy I was with this afternoon 'suggested' that the exhaust would for sure improve the flow and in turn would slightly improve the output, but could not state to what extent without calculations.
