Default Lowering Springs on SRi With B4 Shocks?

    Hi All,

If I got some lowering springs, I'm thinking Eibach but may go PI, would B4's be better than the standard SRi shocks?

I heard that SRi shocks are shorter anyway but I assume B4's will be standard size and turn out to be longer than I already have?

Should I stick with the standard shocks or go for B4's even if they are longer?

I really want some B6's but that's way too much money on top of what the springs will cost.

    Cheers!

indeed the sri shocks are shorter to accomodate the shorter/stiffer springs
by fitting pi's or eibachs you will be lowering again by another 15mm minimum dependant on the kit your looking at - so the standard springs should be ok - the b4's would indeed be oem standard so could be longer - the b6's are definetly shorter and a vast improvement on standard (non sri) shocks

B4's and B6's are the same length shocks, its the B8's that are shortened

As far as I'm aware the B4's are equal to the SRI shocks, but I've never put them side by side to measure them.

When I oredered my B4's from Euros they wanted to know if they were for the Sports chassis or Normal, So I'm guessing they are the same as OE SRi ones cos with the -30mm eibachs springs its dropped about 40-45mm

Yeah, SRi is 15mm lower than standard, -30mm eibach + B4's = about 40mm lower than it was. So I'm guessing the eibach were either 45mm ones or the B4's were meant for the SRi, i.e shorter than normal vec ones.

The Eibachs are -30mm (-30mm over non SRi, so -15mm on SRi) and if B4's are the same length as SRI shocks (which are shorter than standard non-sri shocks) then it should drop -15mm - surely... (and I'm not calling you Shirley)
