Default MOT passed, but it was a bit pricey....

The Siggy (3.0 V6 Elite) was in for it's 6th birthday service and MOT yesterday, at 55K miles.
It sailed through the MOT, with the addition of new brake pads front and rear(which I'd asked to be done as part of the service).
The full service, MOT, all the filters (and why does the oil filter for the 3.0 V6 cost nearly £40? What's it made of, unicorn scrotum and platinum?), and supply and fit new pads came to just over £500. A lot of money, but the pads were the original ones.
That's if for another year -I may think about a change this year, but I don't want more debt at the moment!

Seems a bit OTT that to me i know your oil filter will be different from mine but mine only costs £3.50 as for replacing pads there is no way i would have given them that sort of money i think your dealers must be what is known as rip off merchants

Nope. It's a very reputable local independent.

The 3.0 oil filter is known to be expensive. Parts and labour were at standard rates.

I use Camford Car Care, in Sundon Park. My wife works just around the corner from there, and her boss has used them for years without any problems.
