cdti whistle help required ASAP

My missus signum 1.9cdti, engine code z1.9dt, has started whistling on boost from about 1500rpm, reallly loud, there is a lackm of power and when i did get to 70mph(took its time to get there) the engine warning light has come on.

Any ideas. Is this going to hurt my pocket? Warrenty runs out 28/03/10.

Have you checked the pipes leading to and from the turbo for splits?

checdked all pipes I can see those from filter to turbo and then out of the turbo I loose the piping, then I find it again where it goes into engine.

Where's the intercooler? I can see rad and air con rad. Can it be anything else other than piping?

deffo a pipe mine did this on my previos bora tdi. also check intercooler as mine also went ant somepoint again on the bora and it was that loud that if i put my foot down people would look...

I need to get it sorted asap. Go away sat and towing caravan with it. Vauxhall to look at it at 8am tomorrrow, but they going to diagnostic check it, possible MAF? don't see this being a cause, both me and ex garage mechanic couldn't see anything wrong, it is so loud and has so little power.

if turbo is loud im sure a leak or intercooler leak, check black if black smoke ur turbo pipe must av come off

not really any black smoke, never is, even when reved hard

It may also be a sign of turbo failure

The intercoolers can split sometimes, it's inbetween the aircon rad and coolant rad

Really depends how far gone it is, if it's just starting to go it could be noisy but still performing well. It would slowly start to deteriorate
