could be time to replace your glow plugs what millage are you on mark..
My dad told me if the car causes starting problem, it can be EGR valve as he had an Astra which did same problem. Once EGR valve was changed, it was all good
Glow plugs!.
mine does same - if there is a glow plug fault you will get engine mangement light, so forget that....I feel judder on cold start but VX can't find any fault - EGR been done, manifold been done, 1 glow plug changed - just learned to live with it, heard from someone it's a 'known issue' to VX on Z19dth.
I personally believe it is in some way emission related as get fair bit of healthy smoke during judder.
dont talk to me about EGR valve, im having mine replaced under warranty tuesday funny thing is the car runs like a dream with out a problem.
thanks for help, i got it sorted today, had to change the battery as i was driving yesterday and the car came to a halt, when i tried to start it nothing! ive only done a few miles a day lately so i suppose it hasnt had a chance to charge! just strange for the battery to go like that.
Vauxhall released a technical bulletin for rough running on start-up due to low battery voltage caused by the alternator not starting to charge until the revs are brought up above 1000rpm.
It is possible your alternator is not charging properly, causing the flat battery and the running problems on start-up.
Charging voltage should be at least 13.8 volts measured across the battery terminals with loads on such as headlights/heater blower on full/heated rear window, engine running at 2500rpm.
